Wow…lots of images on this blog. I\’m reeling and my eyes are spinning (can you paint that?).
I was in NY working and then out in New Mexico for a week hanging out with Benjamin\’s tribe and some good friends of my own in Sante Fe. It was an interesting trip…had a few fantastic hikes up mountains and swimming in gorge rivers which I loved but I am so happy to be back in my kayak here on this rocky northeast coast with the generous full moon tides and the ice cold wake me up water.
I love the blog format. It\’s more like hanging out with you and I don\’t find it at all too personal. It\’s interesting to read your comments on the paintings since they are so multi-layered and textural and textual.
Here\’s the big question: where will you be in February \’07? No, this isn\’t a trick question or an existential enquiry… I\’m going to be teaching in Vancouver from 2/16 - 2/18 and if you are aound, Benjamin and I want to come out to Hornby for a day or two before I teach. What do you think? I know it\’s probably not high season but given the hippie dippie trend, I\’ll probably prefer the off season atmosphere. Let us know what you\’re up to.
a hug to you!
