This is a really attractive painting and gives me some great inspiration for painting light and shadow. Wonderful buildup of colors, too.

Thanks Lydia! I’m working on a new group of paintings called Heaven and Earth that are similar….I will take a look at your work on your blog.
How did you find my work?

Don Gray of DailyArtWest recommended that I come take a look at your site. I commented on his blog a few weeks ago and he wrote me a very nice little encouraging note.

P.S. The photos of your studio are giving me a giant case of envy.

Hey Lydia

I will be posting some new work in the next few days, just haven’t been shooting many photos.

Yah, I have a great studio, I appreciate having that opportunity. Come on up for a visit and bring your traveling easel and painting supplies!

I’ve been thinking that I need to get a better lighting kit and perhaps add a polarizing filter to my lens to cut glare. Whenever I take a photo it really suffers because my perception of the color is so different from what comes up on my monitor. In case you can’t tell, I’ve been spending all evening resizing photos and trying to correct the color.

I’d love to come up and visit sometime, although at a guess I’m probably going to have to drive a few hundred miles and that means I need to make some repairs on my ancient and venerable truck first.
